It shouldn’t just be about the beer…

We care about people and the environment, that's why we are doing things to make everyone feel welcome and supported at our brewery, whilst also helping those in need and doing what we can to minimise environmental impact.

It’s about more than just the beer, there’s no excuse for modern business not to do more.

Period Poverty

Since March 2022, we’ve been offering free period products at the brewery, supplied by award-winning social enterprise Hey Girls.

For every bundle that Wasted Degrees purchases, a box of products is donated to someone in need.

Period poverty affects 1 in 9 in the UK, but a shocking 1 in 4 in Scotland.

‘Invisible Pizza’

Ordering an ‘invisible pizza’ at our Taproom makes it easy for you to donate £5 to charity.

Your donation could save lives at home and abroad.

In memory of Jen and Jack. From the horrors of war to a long & happy life together. A Red Cross Nurse and a Soldier of the 51st Highland Division, our Granny and Grandad.

Ask For Angela

Everyone should feel welcome & supported at our brewery.

‘Ask for Angela’: no one deserves to feel unsafe on a night out. We support this wonderful campaign, and our staff are trained to provide immediate support and a safe space for anyone who asks for Angela.

Armed Forces Covenant

In late-2023, Wasted Degrees pledged its support to the Armed Forces Covenant, a move inspired by family service & sacrifice.

The Armed Forces Covenant enables businesses to pledge their support to the armed forces community - whether serving or retired. We offer a discount at the brewery shop and on wholesale orders shipped to barracks / bases.

Local Tree Planting

In late-2024 and late-2025 respectively, we’ll be planting native fruit trees at our local hospital and school.

Fully funded by Wasted Degrees, these trees will serve to feed people in our local community, as well as provide other wellbeing benefits as people enjoy caring for the trees too.
