Ok liveblog time kids with House and 24 Drew and Tyler from The Wunderbar starting off with House and Travis will join in later for 24.
I decided to take a look at the visitor stats for this site today and I must say, the “top searches” section is quite amusing. The top three searches that lead people to Wasted Degrees are apparently (in reverse order):
- “24 cylon”
- “grandpa’s pancake house”
- “blue pancake disease”
I’m sorry, but what the hell is “blue pancake disease”? Why would anyone search for it? I just though I’d share that with everyone, give them all a brief moment of levity. Also give them a sneak peak of what I absolutely have to name next week’s 24 liveblog. So now you know why it will be named thus. And knowing is half the battle.
One last thing: our lawyers have advised us to remind any children that may be reading that if a half naked man comes running up to you, run the other way as fast as you possibly can.
Also, if you’re a parent and your kid managed to build himself a tree-house without help, you’re a terrible fucking parent, and should probably put your kid up for adoption before you do any more harm.
After tinkering around for a while, we have set up some new features for Wasted Degrees to give it a more social atmosphere. Included in a twitter-like activity page, where you can share what you’re doing with the other users of the site, forums where users can talk about the site, our liveblogs or really about anything. While we haven’t posted the forum rules yet, use some common sense. The internet isn’t a new thing, neither are message boards, you should know by now what is and isn’t acceptable. We’ve also set up extended profiles, and groups for users to set up and join as well as the ability to friend other users, and send people private messages.
Please let us know if you intend to use these features or not. There isn’t much point in having the activity page if nobody is going to use it.
